- 9.42km route
- Rucking with 20kg's
- Difficulty level - Beginner - Good paths all along the route with minimal elevation
After our Ultramarathon recovery, we thought we'd start off somewhere familiar and not too challenging. And as you know, we really like the Ladybower Reservoir and surrounding area' so we thought we'd do the flatter route around Ladybower.
Even though we have been here lots of times before it is still a joy to spend time in this part of the Peak District. We got there nice and early to beat the crowds and were met with a lovely bright summer morning.
The path starts off by meandering through the pine tree's along the banks of the reservoir as you walk from the carpark, until it opens out as you get closer the to the bridge on the
Snake Road to get to the other side of the water.
Once you are on the other side there are spots where you can investigate the shoreline so we let Rosie have a paddle just as the sun came out for us.
This was our 1st ruck in about 5-6 weeks and we were so happy to be out enjoying the beautiful surroundings again doing something we really enjoy ad getting a great workout as well.
