This was supposed to be a 13+km route which would take us round Llyn Ogwen and up Bryn Tryfan, but we had to abandon that as the route took us over a boulder field at the base of the lake which got increasingly dangerous carrying the load we were, so we had to replan. With no mobile service we couldn't find another route so decided to explore the signposted route up to Llyn Idwal. We weren't disappointed. Such a picturesque place, well worth a trip.

The weather was a bit cold and windy, but the views and dramatic scenery definitely made up for it, and we found some more friendly animals that were inquisitive to us being there.
